Job Description
Position Summary
You will identify growth opportunities and successfully implement sales tactics that improve both market presence and revenue generation. Responsible for growing test volumes at the hospital through targeted discovery and engagement of clinical and financial stakeholders at the hospital-level.
What will you do?
- Attain specific revenue and capital placement goals for our proprietary products
- Engage in co-travel with field sales to build and accelerate new business opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve market penetration
- Support sales efforts by enhancing and maintaining key relationships to increase volume and meet sales targets
- Regularly engage with sales leadership about critical metrics, pipeline health, and market impact situations
- Form strong connections within the Business Unit, encouraging solid working relationships
- Travel moderately (~75%) to customer-facing events, co-travel with Account Managers, and attend national and regional conferences/tradeshows
- Provide input on contract, pricing, and delivery terms
- Analyze processes and promptly raise potential issues to leadership
- Monitor competition, market trends, and develop a business network through participation in professional marketing events
- Engage actively in PPI and process improvements
Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of complex selling and capital sales experience.
- Demonstrate success with a proven track record in medical sales and clinical demand generation for laboratory testing.
- Experience calling on physicians outside of the laboratory.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g. Life sciences, Biology, Marketing, Business) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, DASH, Teams, SFDC
- Strong understanding of acute and reference lab testing and applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated confidence and initiative
