Role Description
We're seeking a passionate Product Marketer for Jira - Atlassian's flagship product and leading project management tool. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for executing go-to-market strategies that drive consideration and adoption of Jira among new customers. You'll collaborate closely with product and research teams, leveraging customer insights to create compelling content and messaging that resonates with our diverse audiences- from developers, to marketers, to designers- helping them quickly understand the value of Jira.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an exceptional writer and storyteller who takes a customer centric approach to messaging. A key aspect of this position will involve gaining a deep understanding our various audience segments, their needs, and their pain points. You will use this information to develop engaging content such as use-case videos, product guides, and more, aimed at increasing the consideration and adoption of Jira.

  • Collaborate with product management, user research, and other cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute positioning, messaging, and marketing activities for Jira
  • Becomea product expert and thought leader in defining best practices and ways of working that support our customer use cases. Deeply understand the needs and pain points of our diverse audience segments through direct customer conversations and by partnering with sales, customer research, and community teams. Use those insights to inform our marketing content and strategy
  • Create compelling marketing collateral, including blog posts, webinars, best practice guides, and more that support customer acquisition and engagement efforts
  • Support go-to-market strategies and campaigns that drive consideration and adoption of Jira
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and customer feedback to inform ongoing marketing strategies.


  • 3-5+ years of product marketing or content marketing experience
  • You're an excellent copywriter and storyteller. You enjoy writing unique and compelling content for a diverse set of influencer and executive decision-maker personas
  • Have a track record of delivering campaigns and/or content that move the needle and turn heads in the market
  • Be a passionate, self-starter with a no-B.S., can-do attitude who likes to make data-informed decisions
  • Be able to spot opportunities to improve, and have a keen understanding of how to translate customer needs and market demand into content that helps us meet our goals around consideration and adoption
  • Experience making data-driven decisions and tracking campaign performance to drive the best results
  • Can translate projects and initiatives into business impact


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $129,600 - $172,800
Zone B: $116,600 - $155,500
Zone C: $107,600 - $143,400
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
