Job Description

As a Product Manager at Oteemo, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client in the DOD through the successful delivery of innovative solutions. The Product Manager is responsible for product planning, delivery and promotion throughout the product lifecycle, developing a vision and roadmap for the product(s) based on input from internal stakeholders, customers/user research, technical input, and their own industry insight and understanding of domain constraints. You will act as a bridge between our team, client users and Business management, and the development team, ensuring the product vision is effectively communicated, translated, and executed, leading to high-quality products and services that meet customer/user needs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategy and Product Management Capability Development:

  • Experience leading large-scale, highly cross-functional programs or products with responsibilities spanning product development, operations/promotion, and sustainment

  • Able to distill complexity into clarity and drives impact and velocity across teams, orchestrating improvements across vertical “lines of business” or capabilities

  • Design and run complex processes across product and operational teams, designing processes to support decision-making, cross-product coordination, planning, and coordinated implementation (e.g., PI Planning, Portfolio Management) 

  • Drive data-driven prioritization and rationalization for product/technology modernization to support scalability, flexibility and performance 

  • Partner with other teams to help them execute on important strategic initiatives or drive operational scale and efficiency for Portfolio-level 

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong communications and working relationships with different stakeholders involved in product development and delivery, including key Program Leads or Business Unit leads and support functions (e.g., Acquisitions, Legal, etc.) 

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and communicate the product vision and goals that are aligned with strategic client/Business objectives 

  • Coordinate alignment of product objectives across

Product Development:

  • Define product roadmap(s) to achieve desired future-state, collaborating with product team members and program staff or stakeholders to account for desirability (CX/UX), feasibility (technical components and sustainability), and viability (operations) factors for the product/service 

  • Work closely with the product team to ensure specific needs translate into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items, ensuring user requirements are effectively captured, tracked, prioritized and actioned.

  • Prioritize requirements based on their strategic value, business impact, and client priorities. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and SMEs to ensure successful product development and delivery. 

Productivity/Metrics: 

  • Define, analyze, and report product metrics to measure success and inform strategy. 

  • Continuously examine, experiment, and implement measured improvements to the operational model and processes (e.g. automating tasks, improving workflows, developing repeatable methodologies); ensure changes emerging from project/program retrospectives are actioned and supporting continuous improvement

  • Build and communicate out bi-weekly program efficacy and efficiency metrics to leadership and partnering organizations 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in similar or related technology roles, ideally in a multi-product or platform organization. 

  • Significant experience working with cross-functional stakeholders on projects with both depth and breadth in their complexity. 

  • Clear experience building and executing programs from scratch, designing cross-organizational collaboration and coordination processes and practices that enable joint team planning and synchronized implementation. 

  • Strong analytical, strategic and coordinating skills to problem-solve for portfolio of products and modernization rationalization. 

  • Proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners. 

  • Possesses a process-oriented mindset and ability to influence people to get things done. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; uses them to effectively roll out large scale programs and build strong relationships with stakeholders and teams across the organization. 

  • Bring an analytical mindset to use data to facilitate discussions around operational, technical, resourcing trade-offs, and metrics. 

  • Develop the correct metrics to measure your program's success. 

  • Strong project/program-management skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects in a highly demanding environment. 

  • An extremely responsive and collaborative team-player mentality with a customer-focused mindset. 

  • Excellent judgment and demonstrated ability to handle time-sensitive work. 

  • Experience on a wide variety of projects, quick learner and adept at integrating new approaches to adapt to changing conditions or Business needs. 

  • Strong organizational skills and personal initiative. 

  • Eligible for a DOD Secret clearance.
