The Role:

The Product Engineer is a key member of the Entegris Liquid Packaging R&D Engineering team. The core purpose of this job is to drive the evolution of new high purity chemical containers (200L drums and IBCs) used in semiconductor fabs from concept through development and to high volume manufacturing.

This person will be the chemical container subject matter expert providing leadership on product design, performance, product testing and regulatory requirements related to the transportation of hazardous goods.

The ideal individual will bring 6+ years of product development experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with injection molding, blow molding and plastic materials such as HDPE as well as the ability to communicate effectively across a global organization. We are seeking someone with a team first attitude and a passion for asking questions, sharing ideas and exploring new boundaries.
In this role you will:

Serve as a core team member for assigned products and work as the liaison between Operations, Quality and Product Management

Work closely with Development Engineering team in the USA to proactively influence product and process designs for better manufacturability.

Manage Product Qualification builds and work with Operations team to provide special manufacturing instructions as required.

Support and/or conduct product specific testing to ensure product performance throughout all stages of product development as well as on released products

Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigation in support of new products and released products

Drive all regulatory testing associated with UN certification of packaging for hazardous goods including internal testing and collaboration with outside UN testing facilities

Support Product Management through the creation of technical reports and presentations as well as attending customer meetings as needed
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
-
6+ years of hands-on product development experience
-
Experience with chemical containers such as 200L drums, large format IBCs, day tanks or other such containers used to store and transport high purity semiconductor grade chemicals

Proficient in Solidworks
-
Knowledge of UN testing and regulations related to containers used for the transportation of hazardous goods
-
Blow molding experience including part design and molding process
-
Experience utilizing polymeric materials in mechanical and fluid applications
-
A proven track record of bringing new products into manufacturing with successful market launches
-
Experience in high volume manufacturing desirable
-
Ability to coordinate projects including project schedules and reporting
-
Ability to report information professionally, effectively, in a structured and concise format
-
Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate effectively with the team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Excellent overall computer and software skills
-
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma philosophies a plus
-
Experienced in performing design FMEA and process FMEA a plus
-
Ability to travel to the USA multiple times each year
