The RoleThe Sr Procurement Analyst plays a critical role in our procurement team, focusing on analyzing procurement data, managing contracts, placing orders with our suppliers and identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, market knowledge, and a strategic mindset to support procurement decisions and activities. Self-starters with a drive to win will find success in the role and expanding department within AspenTech.
Your Impact
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for management.
- Supplier & Order Management: Assist in placing orders and managing supplier relationships, including conducting performance reviews, negotiating contracts, and resolving order issues.
- Procurement Processes: Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing dynamics, and supplier innovations.
- Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Sourcing Category Managers on strategic sourcing initiatives, cost reduction programs, and supplier diversity and compliance efforts.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in Coupa and source-to-pay software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
