Responsibilities:

  • Inputs payroll for both US and international; works with HR and Benefits to update employee records; works with Treasury to ensure timely funding of payroll and related liabilities
  • Collaborates to ensure payroll is closed accurately by performing all data collection, reconciliation, and application of payroll policies for area of responsibility
  • Audits integration results
  • Audits US and International payrolls
  • Performs analysis for various members of the organization as needed
  • Ensures data integrity in the payroll system and in the systems that impact payroll
  • Directs tax invoices and/or notices to appropriate vendor or handles response (SUI Rates, Statement Notifications, Quarterly Filing)
  • Reviews and audits all hours, earnings, deductions, manual checks, and special actions prior to each payroll processing
  • Manages timesheets, assigns timesheet approvers and updates employee accrual benefits data in Vision; works with accounting to resolve any issues in timesheet and payroll uploads and recording.
  • Works with One Source Virtual (or other payroll vendors) on service requests
  • Inputs US and international accrual benefits in Vision and makes corrections as needed
  • Workday upgrade and enhancement testing
  • Assists with year-end adjustments and reporting
  • Generates accounting reports and schedule; resolves any inquiries from GL team
  • Escalates issues as needed regarding timesheets and pay checks
  • Prepares contribution data files
  • Works with US and international payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely paychecks
  • Identifies and analyzes opportunities for process improvement to enhance strategic objectives globally and corporately
  • Responds to government agencies regarding employee verifications as needed
  • Assists with annual bonus schedule and may generate annual compensation statements in collaboration with respective teams and as directed by firm leaders
  • Assists with annual salary schedule and may generate annual salary letters
  • Documents and maintains payroll procedures in collaboration with respective teams and as directed by firm leaders
  • Reviews and continually improves payroll processing with the key objective to simplify, standardize and build capacity on the team
  • Communicates with all levels of the organization effectively by responding in a timely manner and providing strong customer service

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Experience in Deltek Vision and Workday preferred
  • Working knowledge of payroll, payroll tax and HR laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to problem solve and apply appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
