This is a position for a data and analytics enthusiast who wants to apply their advanced experience in a fast-paced, fluid, collaborative, and results-oriented environment. The role provides reporting and analytics support to Bass Pro Shops with a primary focus on digital commerce channels – eCommerce, Mobile App, Omni strategy, dropship, etc.
The analyst will retrieve, analyze, and summarize business, operations, customer and economic data to provide business intelligence, make recommendations and predict business outcomes. They will identify and interpret trends or patterns and prepare, both, structured reports and custom data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps) to support business decisions. They will be able to effectively interpret complex business requests and translate those into relevant and actionable insights. The analyst will also demonstrate situational leadership, emotional intelligence, and a motivated sense of urgency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports analytic insights and reporting with an intentional effort to automate. 55%
- Performs root cause analysis and troubleshoots business trends needs. 25%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Related
- Experience: 5+ years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Advanced SQL, comfortable with complex data tables, and familiarity with statistical concepts
- Working knowledge of business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., Domo, PowerBI, Adobe, etc), and ability to leverage the reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM and/or database software vendors.
- Ability to story tell and present findings to an audience around identified trends - strong oral, written and interpersonal skills for interacting and collaborating with business partners throughout the organization
- Ability to identify and understand trends through data
- Demonstrates situational leadership, emotional intelligence, and a motivated sense of urgency
- Retail and eCommerce industry experience is preferred
