Additionally, a senior engineer is responsible for mentoring less experienced engineers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve monitoring strategies.

SCHEDULE
Full Time

- Lead the design and implementation of monitoring systems for applications, infrastructure, and Information Security.
- Perform monitoring systems upgrades and integrations with other tools.
- Resolve monitoring tool related vulnerabilities according to credit union service level agreements.
- Provide engineering and operational support for the monitoring tools and enterprise dashboards.
- Contribute to research and recommendations of new technologies as it relates to monitoring solutions.
- Identify and contribute to process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Document and maintain systems architectures, configurations, and specifications.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and feedback to other engineers and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and leadership across the credit union.
- Commit to continuously learn and improve, in both technical expertise and soft skills.
- Share on-call support duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, administration, or development.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic)
- Minimum 1 years of professional experience as a technical lead
- Advanced knowledge in delivering enterprise monitoring solutions for various IT systems, technologies, and platforms, such as Windows, Linux, VMware, Azure, AWS, SQL Server, etc.
- Advanced knowledge in application performance, tuning and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge with scripting tools (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge in REST API calls, and Webhooks.
- Experience with Ansible or other software provisioning tools is preferred.
- Experience supporting a SOC OR SOAR/Enterprise Security tools is a plus
- Familiarity with core credit union/banking systems is preferred.
EDUCATION
Education must be from an accredited institution.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
License/Certification
Splunk, New Relic, or other monitoring tool certifications.
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities; however, is expected to provide coaching and/or mentoring to others on the team.
COMPUTER/OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS
Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are helpful, along with diagramming software such as Visio or Lucidchart.
Language Skills
- Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations
- Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.

- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with strong organizing and time management skills.
- Adaptive to change, responds positively to altered circumstances or conditions.
- Possess a desire and willingness to learn and continually update knowledge base on financial concepts, strategies, systems etc.
- Take initiative to be a problem solver and provide suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with other teams as needed.
- Data analytics and data validation skills.

There are no unusual environmental factors. Work is conducted in typical office setting with moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
