Our Growth Initiatives and Sales Intelligence teams manage expansion efforts and the RFP process, including COIs and sales support; examine, create, and submit transportation-related RFP responses. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr Manager, RFP & Sales Intelligence to join our dynamic team. The Sr Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a winning RFP process from initial receipt to final submission. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, the ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams, and a deep understanding of proposal development. The ideal candidate will thrive in a deadline-driven environment and possess a strategic mindset to ensure our proposals are compelling and competitive. In addition, they will be a liaison to our cooperative purchasing partners and own sales intelligence to support key strategic initiatives and business development efforts.

  • Provide overall leadership and management of the team responsible for generating responses to RFPs.
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for bids and contracts that align with the company’s revenue goals and market opportunities.
  • Manage the end-to-end RFP process, including receipt, review, and analysis of RFP documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, subject matter experts, finance, legal) to gather required information, develop proposal strategy, and draft comprehensive, accurate, and compelling responses.
  • Ensure all submissions meet company standards and are tailored to the specific needs of the prospective client.
  • Create, manage, and maintain an RFP content repository to ensure proposal information is consistent, accurate, and up to date.
  • Monitor and track RFP outcomes and trends to share with leadership regularly and inform process improvements.
  • Manage multiple proposals with oftentimes rapid turnaround deadlines.
  • Execute internal project management and communication plan to keep cross-functional partners informed, engaged, and on track to deliver winning proposals.  
  • Act as liaison to our cooperative purchasing partners.
  • Own sales intelligence to support key strategic initiatives and business development efforts.


Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of related experience in RFP/proposal management from opportunity through submittal (in K-12 education a plus)
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team and meet stringent deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated persuasive writing, technical writing, and editing skills.
  • Attention to detail; ability to manage all proposal requirements with zero errors or omissions.
  • Experience building a standard process that facilitates smooth, efficient, and consistent submissions.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work across functions. You can motivate others without direct reporting lines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Experienced with RFP management software (e.g. Loopio) a plus.
  • Experience utilizing procurement data platforms, such as GovSpend and Burbio, to identify RFP issuances and gain market insights.
  • Relationship-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, readily develops trust and credibility across all levels, and can motivate others.

HopSkipDrive is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Los Angeles, CA is 110,000-140,000 per year.   This position is remote and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this role also includes equity stock options.
