As a Sr. Manager for End to End Quality Engineering you will work with stakeholders across the Infotainment Organization as well as stakeholders in Product Organization to develop a holistic strategy for end to end feature and product Quality. You will play a critical role in driving Quality at the feature and integration level, ensuring best practices, comprehensive test assets, automation, and delivery of a high Quality Infotainment Product. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled Software Quality Engineers and contractors.
Job responsibilities include

  • Lead the end-to-end Quality process, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing software releases


  • Collaborate with development, QA, Product and operations teams to ensure successful release deployments


  • Develop and maintain Quality tools, automation scripts


  • Drive end to end automation


  • Implement and enforce release management best practices, including version control, branching, and merging strategies


  • Troubleshoot and resolve release-related issues, working closely with development and operations teams


  • Devise a high-level end to end feature and product level quality strategy and collaborate with engineering leads to execute it


  • Build an effective QA team, finding the right leaders and growing everyone's skills. Come up with a staffing plan, utilizing in-house and contract resources


  • Track and help define high level quality metrics. Report on and help define OKRs as part of the larger Quality Engineering Organization. Help drive engineering teams to improve these continuously


  • Run postmortems for escapes, identify process deficiencies, and propose changes to help team improve


  • Tactically run end to end testing for all releases


  • Act as the voice of the customer, raising warnings when there are problems and helping prioritize engineering focus


Additional Description

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


  • Proven experience as a Quality and Release leader


  • 10 years of team leadership


  • Strong knowledge of Quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices


  • Experience with build automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines


  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies


  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex release-related issues


  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams


  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple releases and priorities simultaneously


Hybrid, reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).

  • This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to a GM center.
  • Compensation:
    • The expected base compensation for this role is: $172,900- $344,800. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
    • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
