This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

The Sr. Manager, Public Relations works to strategically position The Wonderful Company’s brands with consumers, media, influencers and other key audiences – with a focus on leading the efforts for its POM Wonderful and Wonderful Citrus businesses. The position will develop strategic communications strategies and cultivate creative ideas that raise POM Wonderful’s visibility across the marketplace, generate media coverage and partnerships, and drive a broad array of public relations programs and efforts. The Sr. Manager will work closely with the company’s internal marketing teams, oversees any outside agency and/or third-party vendors, and collaborates with other cross-functional departments, while developing their team.

The Sr. Manager reports to the Sr. Director, Consumer Public Relations and will have direct management responsibility for at least one team member. The role is part of a global corporate communications team that includes Consumer PR, Corporate PR, Nutrition Communications and Events and manages all public relations, internal and external communications for The Wonderful Company and its brands and business including FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, Wonderful Halos, JUSTIN Wines, Lewis Cellars, Teleflora, Wonderful Real Estate, and more.

Job Description

  • Oversee the strategic development and execution of integrated public relations plans for POM Wonderful and Wonderful Citrus.
  • Identify, outreach and coordinate event sponsorships, collaborations and partnership that elevate the brands.
  • Serve as a brand spokesperson, including staffing branded events, national and regional trade shows, media tours and integrations, and sampling programs, among more.
  • Seek opportunities to amplify the business organically by identifying incremental projects and out-of-the-box creative ideas.
  • Effectively manage all related budgets.
  • Oversee the organic social strategy for the brand to help showcase the lifestyle, people and properties behind each of the brands, this includes identifying UGC or owned images to share and drafting monthly social media editorial calendars.
  • Deliver presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders, leveraging persuasive communication skills to drive strategic decisions and advance the organization's goals.
  • Oversee and drive consumer media relations efforts, relationship building with key media, influencer programs and outreach including drafting messaging and press releases, producing and maintaining media lists, media tracking and monitoring, packaging coverage and clips, and preparing seasonal and quarterly results grids.
  • Collaborate with senior management and brand teams, and work cross-functionally with marketing, advertising, research, and legal teams.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the influencer/celebrity outreach plan, focusing on building lasting and credible relationships with celebrity, cultural and influential tastemakers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least 8-10 years of communications experience including consumer PR and/or consumer packaged goods within an agency or corporate environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or related field
  • Ability to ideate, coordinate and flawlessly execute events and partnerships
  • Proven track record for media relations and ability to secure branded results, notably in food and lifestyle
  • Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Accurate and consistent, and is well-tuned into attention to detail
  • Strong writing, research and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated team player that rises to the occasion and can lead and motivate a team
  • A creative and innovative mindset
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms
  • Knowledge of standard PR tools: MuckRack, PR Newswire/Businesswire, media monitoring services, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 25% travel

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
