As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Manage BAU activities and local initiatives affecting local platforms, including last mile clearing connectors.
- Address country regulatory agenda requiring changes in Matera, SGR.
- Lead the Cards Transformation program. Modernize Clearing: SPB.
- Serve as App Owner of local platforms supporting our products (Matera, SGR, Axon, Craton, SPB, SPI).
- Oversee tech product ownership with an end-to-end product view for products supported by local platforms (e.g., Boletos).
- Supervise Trade products (FX exchange flows supporting ACC/ACE, regulatory processes for Local guarantee running in TPS)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5-10+ years of experience as a technology leader working within the banking industry.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience using agile methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
- 3+ years of experience building distributed applications using modern technology (Cloud, Microservices, Web Services, APIgee, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Gemfire, Spring, Oracle, SQL Server, Linux, Java, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace).
- Knowledge of infrastructure components including network firewalls, switches, routers, DR-pairs.
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems in the financial services industry, particularly in payments technology, is a big plus.
- Exposure to disaster recovery planning and test execution.
