Introduction
Are you an experienced SAP consultant in the Disturbance & Defect Handling process and passionate about translating business needs into innovative IT solutions? We’re looking for a Senior SAP QM/PP Consultant who thrives in dynamic, global environments and is excited to work with cutting-edge SAP technology. If you're eager to make a significant impact in a technically advanced company, we'd love to have you on board.
Role and responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our IT team, transforming business requirements into effective, high-quality SAP solutions. You’ll partner closely with business teams, helping them streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement IT solutions that align with SAP best practices.
You will be a key player within our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), working in the Operations Execution – Factory Agile Release Train (ART). Our global operations span across multiple countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, US, Taiwan, and Korea, and you’ll be integral in ensuring all IT applications in our factories run smoothly and effectively.
Your expertise will be critical in challenging business teams to stay close to SAP standards while aligning with ASML’s architecture goals. You’ll guide business stakeholders through process improvements, functional design, and customized SAP configurations. You'll also play a pivotal role in testing, training, and providing ongoing support to key users.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and refine their requirements, ensuring they align with standard IT solutions rather than custom builds;
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and contribute to architectural roadmaps;
- Customize and test SAP solutions, focusing on SAP QM (Quality Management) and SAP PP (Production Planning), particularly in the areas of Notifications and the Integration with related systems and modules like MES and PP;
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Owners to define epics, features, and user stories, ensuring smooth delivery;
- Lead process improvements by guiding business teams in optimizing workflows;
- Support the Scrum Master and Product Owner in managing dependencies with other teams and ARTs;
- Provide hands-on support during testing (unit tests, SIT, UAT) and documentation;
- Train key users and Subject Matter Experts, sharing your knowledge and ensuring smooth transitions to the new system;
- Offer ongoing support during post-implementation and hyper care stages.
Education and experience
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in SAP, specifically in SAP QM and PP modules, with hands-on customizing expertise;
- Strong knowledge of Disturbance Handling and/or Defect processes;
- Proven ability to implement SAP solutions using Fiori, ODATA services, and SAP BTP;
- A customer-focused, results-driven mindset with excellent communication skills in English;
- A proactive team player who thrives in high-pressure environments and demonstrates strong consultancy skills;
- The ability to influence and manage relationships across various teams, while staying focused on achieving SAP standard solutions.
