About the Role
Uber Freight is looking for a Sr. Integration Engineer to join our Integration development team. This position will provide a strong technical vision that ensures the team stays current with evolving technology and drive continuous technical improvements. The person in this role will produce high level development while concurrently coaching team members.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Design and implement solutions that connect systems, software, and technologies to ensure they work together smoothly and efficiently
- Deploy the implementation to the appropriate environment - this includes maps, database setup, envelopes, and any business process changes
- Analyze and debug system integration issues
- Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvements in regard to the job accountabilities
- Provide integration testing support and expertise to Product, Development, Operations, Customers, Third Parties, Carriers, and QA
- Provide a strong technical vision that ensures team stays current with evolving technology, and drive implementation of continuous technical improvements
Basic Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Understand the basic testing process, including unit, integration, regression, defects, and rework and maintain a higher understanding of the customer integration testing and rework processes
- Understand basic coding best practices, version control, PL/SQL scripts; Higher understanding of troubleshooting and architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field
- 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- IT programming/development
- Map/Translation development
- Using EDI X12 standards
- Integration analysis
