The Learning Experience Designer can design, develop and facilitate instructional material for training courses supporting company products, sales, partner, and employee training. Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and facilitation skills. The Learning Experience Designer can independently develop interactive entry and advanced-level courses for both internal and external audiences. Has advanced level experience using visual design, and eLearning authoring tools to create engaging and professional-looking training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula.
- Design a variety of instructional materials for instructor-led courses, eLearning courses, web-based learning aids or products, and other programs as needed
- Partner with stakeholders across Nextiva to form and foster great working relationships
- Create realistic objectives for learning or performance for students and instructors
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts to make complex ideas simple to understand
- Use visual design, and eLearning authoring tools to create simple, effective, and beautiful training content that adheres to Nextiva’s brand standards
- Delivers instructor-led, online, and blended training courses for various departments
- Delivers and supports new-hire training and onboarding rollouts
- Conducts product training, as well as periodic refresher training as needed
- Provides training support during launches, updates and other key company or product initiatives
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of instructional material and plan necessary changes
- Redesign courses for online delivery so they are conducive to distance learning programs while still adhering to the goals of Nextiva
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related subject
- Minimum of 3 years of instructional design experience preferably in product/technical and sales training courses
- Advanced experience authoring eLearning content with Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat PRO)
- A portfolio of work examples demonstrating proficiency creating engaging and interactive training content that is visually appealing. We’re most interested in seeing:
- Interactive eLearning courses
- Video
- Software simulation
- Gamified learning
- Examples of complex ideas explained simply
- Experience conducting virtual training using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Chime required, as well as in-person instructor led training
- Preference for using Agile/Lean instructional design methods
- Must be proactive and able to take initiative with minimal supervision
- Flexible, creative, and innovative, with the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment
- Able to receive feedback and adjust direction as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically and maintain a passport
Preferred
- Experience leading instructional design projects
- Experience teaching others how to use eLearning/video/graphic design tools
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat PRO)
- HTML/CSS experience a plus
- MacBook Pro - Apple operating systems

Our compensation packages are tailored to each role and candidate's qualifications. We consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, training, and certifications, when determining compensation. We aim to offer competitive salaries or wages that reflect the value you bring to our team. Depending on the position, compensation may include base salary and/or hourly wages, incentives, or bonuses.
The expected hiring range is $66,000 - $104,000. A different level in the job hierarchy may apply to a specific candidate, resulting in a different hiring range.
