What will you do as a Sr Human Resources Generalist?
As a Sr Human Resources Generalist you will play a vital role in supporting various human resources functions, including benefits administration, leaves management, recruitment coordination, and pre-employment processes. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while promoting a positive employee experience.The HR Generalist provides essential support to the operating company and local site management across multiple human resource functions.

What do we expect from you as a Sr HR Generalist?
-
5+ years of HR experience mandatory
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
-
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
-
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Business and HRIS software
-
Experience in an HR-related field with proven experience in Workday or a related HRIS/Payroll system
-
Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What does your day look like?
-
Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401K retirement plan, and other benefits
-
Serve as the liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issues and provide support during open enrollment
-
Manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation and other applicable regulations
-
Facilitate the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, including benefit orientation and enrollment
-
Assist in the pre-employment process, including background checks, reference checks, and verification of employment eligibility
-
Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews
-
Regularly demonstrate knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
-
Assist in ensuring organization is compliant with all federal, state, and local labor law.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with internal policy and legal requirements
-
Coordination with the union employee administration firm including notifications of employment status and period compliance related reporting
-
HR systems administration for organizational changes, transfers, and compensation
-
Administer the Business Unit milestone service award program
-
Arrange events, appointments and travels
-
May require travel up to 10%
-
