What You Will Do:· Embedded software design, development and testing activities especially in GNSS domain, eCall and/or various telematics applications.· Create reusable and scalable C, C++ code. A successful candidate would be very experienced with C/C++ coding.· Design, Develop and Test scalable, maintainable, well mannered (CPU, memory, disk, power, network) automotive grade embedded Linux applications for Telematics Applications domainWhat You Need:· Masters / bachelor’s degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline· GNSS Embedded Developer - Should have 4 -to- 5 years of experience. should have a few years in GNSS· Advanced C/C++ and DS experience & expertise. Proficient understanding of STL (Standard Template Library): containers and algorithms.· Good understanding of Linux IPC (Inter Process Communication) mechanisms like sockets, message ques, multithreading, shared memory.· Strong software debugging skills using gdb, other debugging tools and ability to analyze back traces· Working experience with tools like GIT, Gerrit et al. And unit test frameworks e.g Gtest based C++ unit test framework.· Working experience with Linux on an embedded platform, including build environments· Good understanding of GNSS /GPS client module or Location system domain, particularly,· Processing of the NMEA data and developing algorithms based on the GNSS data to derive position, accuracy, distance, routes etc. for example. Data processing for latitude, longitude, HDOP, PDOP, VDOP, Velocity (East, North, Up)· Applied areas with NMEA Validation, location data processing applications like Navigation-Systems and/or KPIs regarding location and velocity data in GPS systems· Must have experience with Analysis & design activities for business requirements.· Must have experience with building Use-Cases, stories, high-level design, low-level design work products like Sequence Diagrams, Block-diag, State diagrams, Class diagrams· Must have experience with estimates, High-level design elements and create schedules and plans with milestones and identify dependencies· Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with teams across geographies.· Some prior experience on embedded platform concepts, following domain/apps (at least a few) e.g boot procedure, location-based applications, Calling & Data (LTE) applications, OTA/Software Update, Location/Positioning based Applications, Data Collection / Real-time-monitoring apps, Connectivity Apps (Wi-Fi, BT, Eth, NFC et al).· Work closely with the product and program management teams when developing and delivering new product launchesWhat is a plus:· Prior knowledge of software development for Automotive Products is a plus· Knowledge of Open Embedded, Bitbake and package management.· Ability to read and understand Hardware schematics analysis related to connectivity circuits· Experience working with Agile entities (Epics/Stories/Tasks) for planning and executionWhat We Offer:· Flexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location· Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)· Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University· Competitive wellness benefits· Tuition Reimbursement· Access to HARMAN Campus Fitness Center and Cafeteria· An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development
