As Sr. Director, Enterprise IT, you’ll be working within MetroStar's Innovation Lab focuses on leading cutting-edge solutions for Enterprise IT, tailored to the unique needs of our Federal Government customers. As a key innovator, you will develop technical solutions to modernize and optimize Enterprise IT ecosystems and networks, leveraging advanced architectures and operational strategies. What you’ll do:
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, and operations solutions for large enterprise IT networks.
- Design and operate solutions covering all OSI model layers, including physical, network, transport, and application layers.
- Implement automation to maintain and optimize enterprise network operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Provide expert-level support for Windows and Linux systems in enterprise environments.
- Oversee deployment and troubleshooting of common networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored technical solutions.
- Contribute to the development of technical proposals, including solution design, feasibility analysis, and cost estimation.
- Design and operate edge networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and security at the network perimeter.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational and client objectives.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- An active Top-Secret clearance (or higher) OR the ability to obtain
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise IT, network operations, or related roles.
- Strong client engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.
- Expertise in large-scale enterprise networks and network operations.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux systems, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience with architecture, design, implementation, and operationalization of IT systems.
- In-depth knowledge of the OSI model and its application to solution design.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical proposals, including solution design and costing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Occasional travel to the D.C. metro area/Reston, VA
