Overview:
Welcome to the Channels Platform team at LivePerson! We are a team of 5 software engineers located in and around Mannheim Germany. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (all genders) to join our team and also support the DevOps activities of the other service teams in the Conversational Cloud Channels group. You will work in a fast-paced environment on projects spanning different company areas, aiming to enhance and simplify how brands engage with their customers through messaging. We are looking for a smart individual who wants to do more than just manage, but also shape and innovate!
In this role, you will have the opportunity to (your tasks):
- Work as part of a strong engineering team
- Ensure scalability, reliability, visibility and performance of services in a private/public cloud environment
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines
- Support other team members and work together with colleagues in Mannheim and around the world to achieve the best results
- Be responsible and drive the adoption of new and exciting technologies.
- Drive and advance automation
Here are some of the things you'll bring (requirements):
- BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years experience in developing and supporting DevOps processes
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Cloud Service Providers such as GCP
- Experience with Terraform and Istio
- Knowledge of GitLab Pipelines and Flux CD
- Experience with Java and/or JavaScript (TypeScript is a plus)
- Experience in large-scale distributed systems
- Experience in working with RESTful/Webhook APIs
- Understanding of security best practices
- Ability to learn new and emerging technologies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty approximately every 4-6 weeks, in alignment with our "You Build It, You Run It" philosophy.
- A strong sense of quality, personal responsibility, and a passion for development.
