Due to extensive growth, Rite-Hite has an opening for a Sr. Data Engineer at our new headquarters in Milwaukee’s Fifth Ward. The full job description and experience requirements are listed below. Other details of the package will be disclosed throughout the interviewing process. This position will play a crucial role in implementing the new Business Intelligence platform. The platform would be used by stakeholders from multiple business units to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Designing and implementing robust data pipelines and efficient data models are key to the project's success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data from various sources into Databricks. 
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 
  • Implement best practices for data architecture and data management within the Databricks environment. 
  • Develop and maintain data models to support efficient and effective data analysis and visualization in Tableau. 
  • Create, manage, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to business users. 
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing appropriate data governance and data validation processes. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliability and performance. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering, analytics, and visualization. 
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance policies. 
  • Optimize and maintain data infrastructure to support analytics and reporting needs.  
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert on DataBricks. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and at least 3 years of experience in data engineering and data analyst roles. 

- Proficiency in Databricks, including experience with Apache Spark and Delta Lake. 

- Strong experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation and transformation 

- Strong understanding of medallion data architecture and modern ESL 

- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization, dashboard development and deployment. 

- Experience in the manufacturing domain is highly desirable. 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

- Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks. 

- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools. 

- Ability to reverse engineer ETL processes and data warehousing solutions. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:  

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Ability to design, define and implement Data pipelines and models 
  • Effective communication skills, to work with team members in different time zones 
  • Initiatives to identify potential business opportunities, to maximize the benefits of the Data Lake platform 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This role will not have any supervisory responsibilities to manage a team.
