What you'll do:

• Collaborate with Data Architecture and Analytics teams to serve Coupa business units with the highest quality, best-in-breed solutions for BI and Data Analytics.
• Design and build data processing pipelines for large volumes of data that are performant and scalable.
• Build and maintain the infrastructure required for extraction, loading, transformation and storage of data from multiple data sources using custom scripted as well as SaaS technologies
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependencies and model management
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for DBT models and data workflows.
• Develop and build schemas and objects to assist Data Analysts with the maintenance and development of BI-serving models
• Ensure that data lake, warehouses, scheduled jobs, query and exploration tool and connections with visualization tools are meeting business requirements while remaining cost-effective
• Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing checks, validations, and monitoring processes
• Perform periodic health checks and audits on all data stores, ETLs, ELTs and data consumption connections
• Continually optimize operations and maximize data security and reliability
• Maintain documentation for pipelines, models, and workflows to support team operations and troubleshooting

What you bring to Coupa:

• 6+ years of technical hands-on experience with development and management of databases, data warehouses and data lakes such as Snowflake, Postgres RDS, AWS etc.
• Strong experience with data engineering, data pipelines and transformation (Spark, Lambda, DBT, Dimensional modeling, Change data capture)
• Coding proficiency in Python, Java, Ruby etc. Experience working with APIs, utilizing SDKs and other tools
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and database concepts
• Experience with Workato, Fivetran or other data integration tools (Mulesoft, Informatica) tools preferred
• Experience with BI/Reporting tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Einstein preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technology solutions to leadership, gain alignment, and drive progress
