The Sr. Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, infrastructure, and data visualization to support our data-driven decision-making processes. The scope of this job includes collaborating with data scientists, analysts, solutions partners, and other stakeholders to increase data quality, accessibility, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create, develop, maintain, and leverage data pipelines (including ELT pipelines), data models, reporting, and dashboards to solve business problems or assigned tasks in coordination with multiple teams.
- Develop and maintain data solutions to enable new or existing solutions and BI development for the enterprise driven data warehouse and data visualization solutions.
- Enhance and document workflows for complex data-related challenges by identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data, and find ways to optimize data processing and storage to promote data quality through automation.
- Develop understanding of different WellSky solutions and become a subject matter expertise in the healthcare domain.
- Identify opportunities in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.
- Adhere to WellSky core values, ensure PHI data security, and adapt to changing BI technologies.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 4-6 years relevant work experience
- Experience in SQL/NoSQL and database management systems like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or FireStore
- Cloud experience with GCP, Azure or AWS and their data services
- Experience in Data warehouses like BigQuery
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Sisense, Tableau
- Git experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with GCP
- CI/CD experience with Docker, Terraform
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira
- Experience in healthcare domain
- Programming experience with Python or JavaScript
- Familiarity with Dataform/DBT

- Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
- Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
