Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Senior Customer Success Representative is responsible for maintaining the high level of customer support expected by the company’s internal and external clients and representatives/agents. The position is responsible for preparing and presenting equipment quotations upon request from internal sales employees, FLSmidth regional offices, or external customers. You must be ready to take ownership for the complete technical sales process for the designated product line starting from the quoting stage to order entry to distribution of commissions to the company’s representatives, and communicate this process to other stakeholders

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain existing and build future strong relationships with internal and external customers in aid of company wide goals of ever increasing order intake,  income generated and contribution margins.
  • Assume responsibility for CS sales within their given customer base.
  • Leverage the unique product line knowledge required to answer requests for quotation as well as technical enquiries from either internal or external customers within specified timelines.
  • Recommend and advise the best suitable technical solution to customers based on their request for quotation.
  • Adhere to company policies as well as to pre-defined external pricing as well as ICPO pricing structures when providing a customer with a quotation. 
  • Consult with planning in identifying the inventory policy for the specific parts being quoted so that accurate lead times will be provided to the customer.
  • Convert quotations provided upon receipt of an internal or external customer into a Sales Order in the entity’s ERP system.
  • Identify where required and maintain critical part information (ie. part numbers, descriptions, part class, cost and selling price) in the entity’s ERP system as well as other required software databases.
  • Monitor commissions and/or royalties on (where applicable) and consult with Finance and Management where discrepancies appear. Update where necessary and maintain accuracy in product and order typology.
  • Adhere to predetermined contribution margins for each part sold.

What you bring

  • Technical sales process experience of at least 2 years, ideally within the mining equipment capital and/or aftermarket industry.
  • Technical background (mechanical, electrical or porcess) which ensures ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Capability to communicate complex concepts to customers in a simplified, easy to understand format
  • Good team working and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English - both written and oral.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science as well as another language a distinct advantage.
