General Description:
This position requires a seasoned contracts individual who is skilled in complex negotiation, management and administration of assigned Commercial and R&D contracts for both Government and commercial customers. Ideal candidate is an independent critical thinker, strategic, highly organized and consumer oriented and must be able to perform effectively in a fast paced environment where multitasking and prioritization are essential.
Essential Duties:
Lead negotiations, manage and execute the highly complex customer contracts, modifications and necessary supporting contractual documents throughout the life cycle cradle to grave on all assigned program efforts. Understand all contract types, including FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, OTA, Cooperative Agreements, Grants and IDIQ, and their respective financial structures. Serves as custodian of all assigned proposal and contractual documentation.
Assess complex technical Government solicitations and manage the bid and proposal activities for specific projects, including supporting the bid/no bid decision for submission. Responsible for the quality and compliance of each submitted proposal through collaborative interaction with Pricing, Technical Program Management and other Departments as necessary.
Specifically understand the R&D-to-production transition environment related to selecting contract types and financial structures to provide informed guidance to internal technical and business teams ensuring contracting activities and priorities are in line with the corporate strategy.
Communicate directly with customers, both Government and commercial, regarding complex issues, contract submittals, Customer responses and modifications.
Adhere to internal and Government procedures to reliably flow down all necessary aspects of customer contract terms and requirements to all relevant internal stakeholders and administer contractual performance and compliance with said terms. Escalate ongoing performance concerns to internal leadership as appropriate.
Reports to the Deputy Contracts Manager and actively liaison with both the Director of Contracts and Legal to ensure pending contracts are aligned fully with applicable company standards and practices.
Required Skills:
Understanding of full contract lifecycle cradle to grave for both Government and commercial customers.
Proven Government Prime proposal and contract negotiation skills. Strong knowledge of Government contract types for LRIP and transitional production and FAR/DFARS regulations.
Sophisticated ability to understand problems and apply conceptual thinking, including intellectual property and liability mitigation, to work collaboratively and resolve complex problems.
Exceptional verbal, written and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Professional ability to communicate well and build strategic relationships with both internal and external customers.
Team mentality with the flexibility to address unique issues in real-time and the awareness to know when bring in others. Possess conflict management skills.
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks. Ability to prioritize and effectively time-manage projects, schedules and workload with little supervision.
Proficient and effective in using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel programs to quickly analyze data, make informed decisions and present information effectively.
Proficient knowledge of cost and accounting principles related to financial structures and progress/milestone payments.
Computer skills using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Pro required. Costpoint knowledge a plus.
Required Education:
BS/BA degree required and mandatory 8+ years of in-house contract administration or similar transactional experience in a role that requires direct interaction with potential Government and commercial customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, and in-house Legal. Masters degree in relevant disciplines a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time and be able to access all locations of the company property.
Position requires office in-person attendance.
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with people and have a focus on customer service for internal customers.
Special Requirements:
Able to work flexible hours.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,715 - $150,895 + bonus + benefits.
