Sr. Contract Specialist I (5506)

As Sr. Contract Specialist I, you’ll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for a large-scale cloud and software platform, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and passionate about their work and is focused on strengthening a contracts and compliance posture to assist in building repeatable solutions for enterprise scalability.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct the negotiation and administration of agreements between MetroStar, customers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to MetroStar policies and procedures
• Supports or participates in contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers.
• Reviews contract terms to identify any potential risk or compliance issues.
• Establishes and maintains strong vendor relationships while interacting with internal and external customers, leveraging expertise in communications, and multi-tasking
• Examines supporting materials such as End User License Agreements and other related documents related to bids or contracts and provides guidance.
• Acts as liaison between the organization and resellers/OEMs to implement licenses and cloud spend.
• Maintains contract records used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance
• Associate’s degree (or higher) in a business-related discipline
• 4-7 years of experience with contract administration, negotiations, proposal preparation, and compliance supporting the full contracts lifecycle from pre-award to closeout
• Overall understanding of federal government contracting/subcontracting principles and concepts, including, but not limited to, solicitation of proposals, proposal analysis, purchase orders, award and administration of contracts, compliance reporting, and closeout procedures associated with cradle to grave procurement responsibilities
• Experience developing and leading the sourcing strategy for technology, hardware, software, and associated commercial IT services
• Experience reviewing and analyzing financial and contractual documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, conditions, and other provisions
• Robust analytical/critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail and research skills
