POSITION SUMMARY

Lead the day-to-day activities of the Proposals team reporting directly to the Contracts Manager. Develop and maintain a relationship with the Worldwide Sales Team with a primary focus on timely creation and issuance of aircraft purchasing documents to prospective customers. Work with the Regional Sales Directors and Sales Administrators to capture all pertinent information discussed with the customer and solicit approvals, when necessary, from upper management and other departments/areas. Ensure the Proposals team transfers Purchase Agreement to the Contracts Management team within the allotted time frame per Control Tower KPI’s. Comply with all internal and external procedures and compliance regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Participate in sales proposal activity, draft and negotiate Letters of Intent, Proposals, Purchase Agreements, Letters of Agreement, and Trade-in Agreements
  • Evaluate and determine the most cost-effective and efficient approach to fulfilling Sales/Customer requests.
  • Use and continuously update the Salesforce database for document creation and account management
  • Ensure agreements are drafted to comply with internal and external milestones/restrictions, including but not limited to configuration deadlines (coordinate with Configuration Specialist), deposit schedules, delivery schedule, trade-ins, and post-delivery commitments.
  • Communicate with management and ensure approval has been granted for any deviations from the established guidelines.
  • Continue to develop and nurture the relationship between Embraer and the customer throughout the negotiation process to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance the customers’ perception of Embraer.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sales and/or the customer during the negotiation process, providing technical coordination with other Embraer departments.
  • Arrange and participate in meetings with Sales and Legal teams to discuss commercial and legal terms of non-standard contracts.
  • Communicate certification awareness to the customer to ensure compliance with requirements and to ensure it is properly stated in the contract
  • Act as “Voice of the Customer” to communicate customers’ comments, suggestions and complaints to management in an effort to continually improve internal processes and procedures (Enterprise Excellence).
  • Expand learning and skill base to a wide variety of job skills and personal competencies, including those necessary for succeeding in a team-based environment.
  • Attend Marketing events such as NBAA/E-BASE, or any other offsite activity to support the sales team as necessary

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration/Management, Legal studies or Aviation preferred

Experience:

  • Generally, 5-7 years of experience in this specialized functional discipline including contracts, supply chain, and customer-facing experience. General aviation and sales and marketing experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are complex in nature.
  • Performs Advanced Level work assignments while identifying barriers to success, utilizing troubleshooting and problem-solving skills towards development of creative solutions to complex issues is essential based on nature of work assigned. MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Internet Explorer, Lotus Notes, SAP
  • Salesforce or related CRM cloud-based software experience is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills: relates well to all kinds of people, builds effective relationships, uses diplomacy and tact
  • Organized, prepared, yet flexible enough to make impromptu decisions/presentations
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Basic knowledge of aviation practices, procedures and regulations are a plus.

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
