Job Duties and Responsibilities
We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our Product Experience Team, shaping the on-device and customer care experience for DISH and Sling TV customers. This role is ideal for someone who understands the video/streaming space, has worked on embedded teams, and has written both product copy and customer care content.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Customer Care Copywriting

  • Own the Sling and Dish product voice end-to-end including all copy within the applications, feature onboarding, error messages, and support content ensuring alignment across platforms.
  • Craft concise, clear, and engaging copy across product interfaces, on-device experiences, and customer support materials like Help Center articles, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work embedded within a product team, partnering with Product Designers, Product Managers, Research, Brand Strategy, CXO, and Voice of the Customer to enhance customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with Care teams to ensure help content is aligned with customer pain points and common support inquiries.
  • Attend Design Reviews, contributing UX copy expertise to shape intuitive product experiences.


User Research & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze customer feedback, VOC insights, and social media trends to identify areas of confusion and improve clarity in customer communication.
  • Commission user research, surveys, and A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of product copy and customer care materials.
  • Perform end-to-end audits of current product and care content, refining voice and tone for consistency and user comprehension.


Content Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and maintain a style guide for product and care copy, ensuring consistency in voice, terminology, and messaging hierarchy.
  • Evangelize UX writing best practices, creating scalable processes for integrating copy early in the product development cycle.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop content strategies for .com experiences, ensuring customers can easily navigate TV package offerings and make informed choices.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Communications, English, UX, etc.) or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in UX Writing or Content Design-preferably within video, streaming, or tech-driven consumer products.
  • Experience writing for both product UI and customer support (help centers, FAQs, troubleshooting).
  • Proven ability to simplify complex concepts and craft intuitive, engaging content.
  • Ability to communicate creative decisions clearly across all functions and levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within an embedded product team, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and customer experience specialists.
  • Online portfolio showcasing UX copywriting, problem-solving skills, and measurable impact on customer experience.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
