What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Managed Desktop – Banking Centre team. You’ll lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Sr. Consultant, Infrastructure Management you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

How You'll Succeed

  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs.
    • Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
    • Work with Service Designers and Architecture teams to provide input into the future state roadmaps and architecture.
  • Engineering - Ensure the readiness of managed desktop banking center environment for Windows 10/11 Semi-Annual channel updates.
    • Provide level 3 operational support to resolve technology related incidents.
    •  Apply concepts, best practices, and procedures relative to end user technologies, and take overall responsibility for the health and well-being of the managed desktop banking center environment, including proactive reporting, troubleshooting and resolving end user impacting issues.
  • Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.
    • Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in supporting CIBC's desktop environments and end user technologies.
    • Possess strong technical expertise and subject matter knowledge in Microsoft technologies, including Windows 10/11, Azure Windows Analytics, Azure Desktop Analytics.
    • Proficient in in Active Directory management, including group Policy administration. Highly skilled in scripting with PowerShell and have extensive knowledge of SCCM/Intune.
    • Adept in managing and troubleshooting end-point devices such as desktop computers, laptops, and tablets, as well as peripherals, including swipe devices, cheque scanners, e-signature devices and printers.
    • Deep understanding of CIBC and Managed Desktop Banking Centre environments, along with comprehensive knowledge of CIBC-related processes, standards and change management protocols.
    • Experienced in producing high-quality technical documentation and delivering effective verbal and written communication, including polished presentation skills.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and you’ve spent at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.
