Job Description Summary:
This role is primarily responsible for understanding the business needs and assisting in the prioritization of HR analytics along with overall data governance within the HR function.
The Sr Consultant will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships, understanding the business value of new HR – IT reporting requests, advising business partners on technical implications and solution options. Protecting HR data to ensure only those who have legitimate business needs are using the data for the intended purpose. Driving the strategy for reporting needs within the function to give HR leaders the data they need to inform their decisions. Developing testing scenario for reporting to ensure accuracy of data.
This position will serve as a subject matter expert for reporting across Human Resources. This position will work with all HR Centers of Expertise (COE) leaders to ensure priority alignment with technical needs and connection to business reporting strategy. This role will focus on understanding the technology requirements and needs of HR initiatives and ensuring that scope of requests is accurately identified for assignment of IT resources. This role will focus on Workday report writer, matrix reporting, and dashboarding. This role will also serve as backup for HR project work including supporting the IDEA process along with Workday strategy for OhioHealth. NOTE- CANDIADTE MUST BE LOCAL TO THE STATE OF OHIO.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Computer and Information Science (Required)
- Degree in computer science, HR, business administration or related field.
- 3 years’ experience in reporting and analytics, data governance, and data privacy.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge and experience in all HR areas, including but not limited to recruiting, compensation, benefits, and talent management processes and workflows.
- Technical experience in a highly technical role within an HR IS function, with exposure to design, development, and implementation of IS systems.
- Data visualization and Report building experience.
- Experience with Workday HR modules.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- This HR Consultant role is responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of IT related reporting requests, ensuring that reporting aligns with data privacy requirements and meets the needs of the business.
- This position serves as a primary gatekeeper for HR data privacy access requests across Human Resources.
- Develop and implement HR reporting strategy to provide insights and support data-driven decision making.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across HR systems and reports.
- Establish and maintain data governance process and standards to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to identify and implement reporting and analytics solutions to that meet business needs.
- Provide training and support to HR teams on reporting and analytics tools and best practices.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their reporting needs and requirements, and design and develop custom reports to meet their specific needs.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws, and regulations, including HIPAA.
- Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures to protect confidentiality and security of personal data.
- Conduct regular privacy impact assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, DE&I, and IT teams to ensure the data privacy requirements are integrated into HR reporting.
- Develop and implement data validation and testing processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of HR data and reports. Collaborate with HR and IT teams to identify and resolve data quality issues, and continuously monitor and improve data quality.
- Deprecate duplicative reports and reduce active reports based on usage and consolidation of reports.
- Use data to effectively measure business process and create measurements which tell stories about business success.
