About the role
Lyra is seeking an experienced and passionate storyteller to join the Corporate Communications team. This person will play a critical role in designing and executing strategic public relations programs — including corporate and product announcements and maintaining regular media touchpoints — to increase awareness of Lyra as the leading provider of workforce mental health. The right candidate is self-motivated, highly collaborative and detail-oriented. This person should also have strong project and time management skills and experience supporting integrated communications programs in a fast paced, high-growth organization.
Responsibilities:
- Drive media relations and execute media outreach by developing and maintaining strong national, local, trade and social media relationships as well as relationships with third-party influencers and thought-leaders
- Lead development of media outreach initiatives including media lists, pitch letters, key messaging documents, fact sheets and press releases; ongoing management of monitoring and trackers
- Monitor and identify market trends, cultural shifts, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges
- Maintain speaking and award programs to elevate profile of Lyra brand and SMEs
- Track, monitor and amplify press coverage for internal and external visibility
- Source and develop proactive PR campaigns, including identifying story targets, developing messaging, collaborating across teams to gather supporting data points, preparing spokespeople and coordinating with stakeholders as needed.
- Support the development of integrated communications plans and strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders across the marketing, product, and leadership teams.
- Support thought leadership and subject matter expert programs
- Create comprehensive, insightful reports detailing the effectiveness of PR efforts
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of corporate communications and/or public relations experience with at least 2+ years of agency experience preferred.
- Track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies for B2B, technology, or healthcare companies.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop clear and concise communications for a variety of audiences.
- Experience developing, preparing, and coaching spokespeople at all levels
- Strong strategic thinking, ability to work across different groups and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Passion for storytelling and knack for translating complex topics into compelling stories.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field preferred.
