Get To Know The Opportunity:

This role is for a Senior COBOL developer to focus on highly visible, complex and critical business priorities developing and supporting Cobol in a Linux environment.  Develops plans for defining, developing and supporting significant information technology components supporting the Workplace Solutions line of business.  

The Contributions You'll Make:

• Serves as Cobol technical expert, resolving problems of systems integration, compatibility, and performance in a Linux based environment.
• Builds and maintains systems based on applications architectures to improve business processes and in alignment/support of critical business strategies.
• Assesses the business and organizational implications of key application technology alternatives for wide-impact initiatives to recommend appropriate strategic action.
• Facilitates continued process improvements within team.
• Determines organizational impact of software maintenance issues and develops overall strategy to address them.
• Integrates activities with business units and collaborates to ensure project costs and schedules are properly estimated and controlled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Cobol developer in a Linux environment
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering and development
• Significant experience in large-scale integrated online RDBMSs across multiple hardware and software platforms.
• Significant experience in new computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures.
• Significant experience across multiple platforms/technologies including OO programming experience, including Java and C++.
• Experience developing Cobol in a Liniux environment.
• Financial Services knowledge

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

• Experience with OmniPlus Recordkeeping application.
• Experience with Omni Scripting Tool

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$84,930 - $141,560 USD
