Job Description
The Sr Category Leadership Advisor, Omnichannel - Amazon & Last Mile is a strategic and high-impact role within KHC's Category Leadership Center of Excellence (CL COE). This position is responsible for developing omnichannel category strategies, leveraging digital shelf insights, to drive growth for KHC categories on Amazon and last-mile platforms.
Amazon is no longer just a standalone eCommerce channel-it is a category growth engine influencing total retail sales. This role requires a seasoned category leader with expertise in both traditional category management and digital commerce, capable of navigating complex, data-limited environments and influencing KHC's internal teams and Amazon stakeholders.
This role will have high visibility, regularly interacting with Amazon category managers, KHC senior leadership, and VP-level stakeholders. Success in this role means KHC becomes Amazon's first-call category partner, shaping the future of grocery and CPG in an omnichannel world.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Omnichannel Category Leadership & Digital Shelf Optimization

  • Drive assortment and pack architecture recommendations, ensuring KHC's portfolio is optimized for Amazon's fulfillment and shopper behavior dynamics.
  • Develop and execute omnichannel category growth strategies, ensuring Amazon strategies impact the entire retail ecosystem (both online and offline).
  • Leverage digital shelf analytics to improve Share of Search, Buy Box ownership, and subscription rates.


Retailer & Internal Collaboration

  • Serve as KHC's primary Amazon & Last Mile category expert and thought leader, developing tailored digital shelf recommendations that drive category growth.
  • Influence Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions, integrating digital shelf trends and insights into category-first, brand-agnostic growth plans.
  • Serve as a key partner to the Amazon sales team, providing category strategies, learnings, and opportunities to drive Amazon category growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Category Leadership, Supply Chain, and Innovation, to ensure assortment and packaging strategies align with Amazon's evolving needs.


Data-Driven Decision Making & Performance Optimization

  • Analyze category performance and consumer shopping behaviors using tools such as Nielsen, IRI, and Amazon-specific analytics platforms.
  • Track and optimize key Amazon KPIs, including ACV Weighted Distribution, Digital Share of Shelf, Conversion Rates, and Buy Box Metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights into category dynamics, identifying growth opportunities and gaps to support Amazon's strategies.
  • Develop persuasive presentations, leveraging storytelling techniques and data-driven insights to influence internal and external stakeholders.


Thought Leadership & Internal Capability Building

  • Position KHC as an Omnichannel Category Captain, ensuring category recommendations align with Amazon's needs and KHC's broader retail strategy.
  • Train internal teams on Amazon/Omni category management best practices, helping to scale digital-first strategies across the organization.
  • Support internal COE capability-building efforts, ensuring KHC maintains a competitive edge in digital commerce and fulfillment innovation.


Expected Experience & Preferred Skills

  • Applicable experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, with an emphasis on e-commerce or Amazon-specific platforms.
  • Tested years of experience in Category Leadership, including assortment optimization, pricing analysis, and category growth strategies.
  • Proven ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced and limited data environments, developing insights and strategies with limited first-party data.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Brand and Omni teams.
  • Ability to build and present compelling, insight-driven strategies to internal executive teams and Amazon category managers.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, or other proprietary Amazon platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proven ability to integrate consumer behavior and shopper insights into e-commerce strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities to address complex category challenges.


Work Environment & Schedule
Remote based role that can be performed from a home office . Additionally, this role requires work a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations.
Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed
  • Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$118,400.00 - $148,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
