ArcGIS Spatial Analyst is an extension for the ArcGIS software that offers a comprehensive array of spatial analysis tools. These tools assist in terrain modeling, identifying suitable locations and routes, uncovering spatial patterns, conducting hydrologic and statistical analyses, and more. Responsibilities
Develop state-of-the-art raster analytics. Define future goals for the spatial analyst team. Mentor and interact with team members. Grow the team to achieve those goals by hiring outstanding developer talent.
Your team develops and maintains tools in GIS application areas such as:
- Suitability analysis
- Weighted distance analysis
- Hydrology analysis
- Surface analysis (terrain intervisibility, surface properties, and more)
- Density analysis
- Processing of large multidimensional scientific datasets
You will work with your team to envision and develop new GIS tools and improve scalability and performance using modern architectures, and parallel, distributed, and GPU computations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of C++, C#, or java experience
- Experience with scientific computation, modeling, raster, or imagery analysis
- Experience with parallel, distributed, and GPU computation
- Understand the interaction between desktop, server, and online (cloud-based) analysis (What’s REST? What’s a web service? What’s Kubernetes?)
- Familiarity with GIS and spatial analysis concepts
- Bachelor's in applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or computer science

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$118,976—$194,688 USD
