The Sr Workday Business Analyst performs a variety of tasks within the Process Excellence team, with a focus on expanding the utilization of Workday across the company. The primary duty of the Sr Workday Business Analyst is to collaborate with HCM business owners to improve processes, identify gaps and recommend solutions. This person acts as the Workday functional expert by having a clear understanding of stakeholder needs and processes. They serve as the point person for HCM master data management, data governance, and support all business Workday reporting needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions through enhancements or new capabilities in Workday.
  • Oversee the control, approval, and validation of documentation related to enhancements, business process, and workflow changes in Workday.
  • Monitor integrations between Workday and external partners, as assigned. Work with product owners and business subject matter experts to elicit business requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Utilize Workday functionality to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Configure, test, validate, and implement business process changes in Workday.
  • Implement, setup, and configure modules in Workday.
  • Independently participate in regular training to maintain system expertise and keep up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Identify, develop, and deliver training as required for implementation and business system support.
  • Build complex/non-standard ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics needed in Workday.
  • Understand master data concepts and the relative importance.
  • Support HP Data Governance procedures and insure HRIS/HCM data integrity.
  • Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or business-related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years in business analysis role, manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a functional HCM role (payroll, talent management, learning management, talent acquisition, benefits, advanced compensation)
  • Workday certification strongly preferred.
  • Workday implementation experience required.
  • Strong systems analytics and support background
  • Proven experience eliciting and documenting business and technical requirements and business processes to drive efficiencies.
  • Ability to use discretion and sound judgement to make decisions.
  • Ability to work independently & effectively in a variety of situations and to various audiences.
  • Proven oral, written, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with non-technical staff and with business SME’s.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and offer creative solutions.
