Position Summary

As an Art Director, you’ll be a key creative force, shaping and elevating visual concepts into compelling brand experiences. You bring strong design sensibilities, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling through visuals—whether across digital, print, motion, or emerging media. More than just a designer, you lead with vision, ensuring that every piece of creative aligns with brand identity and design excellence.

This is a full-time freelance role, requiring 40 hours per week, with an anticipated duration of approximately six months.


Key Responsibilities

  • Concept & Execution: Develop and refine creative concepts, transforming ideas into high-quality, visually engaging executions.
  • Creative Leadership: Guide and inspire teams, setting the standard for design quality, consistency, and innovation.
  • Project Oversight: Manage workflow, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring deliverables are met with excellence.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, strategists, and creative teams to craft cohesive brand narratives.
  • Client Engagement: Present and defend creative work to internal stakeholders and clients with confidence and clarity.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Help nurture junior designers, providing feedback and fostering an environment of creative exploration.
  • New Business & Pitches: Contribute to creative pitches and business development efforts as needed.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay on top of design trends, technology, and cultural insights to push creative boundaries.


Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of design experience in an agency or brand setting.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of work across multiple mediums.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Expertise in branding, typography, illustration, and digital design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) and Mac software.
  • Experience crafting visually engaging designs for advertising, social, and digital platforms.
