As a Sr. Applications Developer on the Technology team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining custom software using Neighborly® standard coding practices and techniques
  • Responsible for developing functioning solutions based on technical requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner
  • Responsible for documenting and communicating application design, topologies, and architecture in an understandable way to peers and the business
  • Responsible for assisting and performing code review of other developers.
  • Responsible for mentoring and guiding other junior development staff in best practices and techniques

(Required Qualifications)

  • Experience:
    • 6+ plus years of application development experience
    • Candidate must be customer focused, goal oriented, and have a passion for success
    • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft.Net technologies, with an emphasis on C# 6.0 and above
    • Good knowledge and experience in TypeScript preferably JavaScript
    • Knowledge in React.js
    • Knowledge and experience in common API technologies including SOAP and REST.
    • Experience and proven ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively with business and IT stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Skills:
    • Strong query development through SQL, including CRUD operations, Stored Procedures, and Functions utilizing standard formatting practices
    • Ability to understand and utilize JSON and XML
    • Document clearly and create flow/process diagrams to describe complex business applications
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Schedule / in-office requirements:
    • Hybrid working model; 3 days in office (Irving, Tx).
