The Opportunity:

Job Summary: The Sr Analyst, Technology Disaster Recovery is responsible for implementing and supporting the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. This role involves performing risk management analysis, documenting disaster recovery plans, and securing the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. The Sr Analyst will also develop and execute testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify weaknesses and failure points.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support disaster recovery policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Perform risk management analysis and document disaster recovery plans.
  • Identify and secure necessary off-site resources for the organization's resumption plan.
  • Develop and execute testing processes to validate disaster recovery plans.
  • Identify weaknesses and failure points in disaster recovery plans and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and integration of disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide training and support to staff on disaster recovery procedures and protocols.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in disaster recovery and business continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery principles and practices.
  • Experience with risk management analysis and disaster recovery plan documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with disaster recovery testing and validation processes.
  • Knowledge of data security and integrity practices.
  • Familiarity with off-site resource management and coordination.
  • Proficiency in using disaster recovery planning tools and software.
  • This position pays between $62,500 - 119,700 based on experience
