At its core, Roundel is about using Target’s rich insights to create smart, personalized advertising campaigns that bring guests more of the products and offers they love. It works on Target’s platforms, like Target.com and our mobile app, as well as going beyond to connect our partners with guests across more than 150 premium publishers and channels (think: Pinterest, PopSugar and NBC Universal). We work with some of the largest brands and advertising agencies in the world to create a unique experience for our guests’ digital journey.Role Description:
As a Senior Analyst on the Performance and Insights team, you will engage directly with Roundel's clients to review how their media investments are performing, identify ways to optimize and grow their media investment, bring innovation to clients, and elevate their understanding of the Target guest.
Target has developed cutting-edge in-house leading methodologies to track and generate accurate performance results. The need is for a data expert, leading the way in data discovery, both proactively and by request, to identify key insights and trends.The core competency of this role is insight generation and client/advertiser consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as main POC for all client communication related to performance / measurement, Roundel’s closed-loop measurement methodology, and other key campaign metrics.
  • Provide high quality, timely analysis, deliverables, and answers to client questions
  • Create actionable recommendations based off of media campaign performance
  • Manage client relationships with performance marketing team and agencies
  • Keep abreast of consumer and category trends and Target data to understand potential impact on client performance and provide actionable recommendations
  • Cross-share examples of successful analysis and scalable solutions across teams
  • Work closely with the operations and optimizations team; generate reports and be able to translate the campaign metrics into a media journey; then work backwards on identifying/feeding the suggestions for future strategies.
  • Generate Quarterly/annual recaps and create category level insights
  • Consultative engagement with clients to share media performance and partnering with them to help achieve their brand strategy.
  • Identify, select and extract relevant data from various internal and external sources
  • Carry out quantitative and qualitative research to produce media evaluation reports. These are then used to evaluate/improve the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Stay updated with the over-all trend and guest behavior in the retail industry and being able to relate the results to derive market level insights

About You:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Digital Media, Marketing, Agency or Retail
  • Team player and keen to share knowledge with the peers, contributes/respects own ideas and those of others equally
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient at conceptualizing and implementing solutions to business problems.
  • Experience with client engagement and relationship management
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to judge and quantify results of advertising and know how to present recommendations
  • Ability to synthesize datasets to build a compelling story
  • In-depth understanding of the digital marketplace
  • Methodical, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Genuine curiosity with how things work; motivated, self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, DOMO, Tableau, Adobe Site Catalyst
