What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a technical applications support role and/or system administration capacity
- Proficiency troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in enterprise applications.
- Experience with application monitoring tools, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Ability to work under general supervision and actively manage multiple priorities.
- Technical Experience in the following areas:
- Linux / Unix Operating Systems
- Java, Springboot, JBoss
- Splunk
We’d Love to See:
- Credit Industry Experience is a plus
- Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
- Microsoft Sharepoint Experience
- Scripting or Programming experience (Bash, Python, Java, C++)
Impact You'll Make:
The Sr Analyst, Technical Ops & Support (5 month contract) is a key role responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of critical TransUnion applications. This individual will troubleshoot complex issues, implement solutions, and support system enhancements to meet business needs. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure seamless application performance and user satisfaction. The 5 month contract role will primarily focus on assisting with lower environment upgrades to core technologies.
- Under general supervision, respond to requests for technical application assistance from customers and Tier I Support within TransUnion, including: technical application assistance, application errors, application configuration/setup, electronic transactions, systems status and downtime procedures for any of TransUnion products and systems.
- Communicate problem issues with other support members, IT groups and external vendors to troubleshoot system problems and resolve application issues. Utilize internal guidelines for effective call processing and escalation of reported problems to next level support representatives as needed.
- Implement designed solutions for proactive monitoring, alerting and reporting, using available tools and expertise.
- Provide after hours on-call coverage as required.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
