The RoleAs a Sr. AI Engineer in our rapidly growing Technology Group, you will provide technical leadership in developing innovative solutions for the next generation of AspenTech’s Digital Grid Management solutions. We are looking for sharp, disciplined, and highly quantitative individuals who have a passion for playing with complex data and cutting-edge technologies, in all its forms, including data mining, machine learning, natural language processing and microservice. You will leverage your skills and passion to drive AspenTech’s Digital Grid Management suite by developing AI/ML enabled software systems.
Your Impact
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and software developers to develop new machine learning applications for the Energy industry in the intersection of AI and Power Systems
- Collaborate with customers, product managers and technical staff to deliver new AI/ML capabilities such as automating manual operations, assisting customer decision making process and providing new data insights in our Digital Grid Management offerings
- Implement and integrate new technologies as they appear in industry and academia into our software applications
What You'll Need
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related major; PhD preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML software development in the commercial product environment, experience with power grid operation software system is preferred.
- Track record of experience in Python programming and opensource libraries such as numpy, statsmodels, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorFlow, pyTorch etc.
- Demonstrated good knowledge of machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, deep learning, time series analysis, text embedding).
- Development experience with C/C++ is a plus.
- General knowledge and experience with LLM, generative AI, MLops, Graph Knowledge, and/or cloud technologies is a plus.
- Participated in the design, development, evaluation, and deployment of scalable data-driven models and analytical solutions for machine learning application.
- Problem-solving ability and attention to details.
- Demonstrated ability to use scientific research to deliver value to customers and are motivated to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
