Description:
Blue Acorn iCi is looking for a Senior Adobe Commerce Engineer, preferably located in either New Berlin, WI or Ft Smith, AR. If someone does not live in either of those locations, then they will need to be able to travel there once or twice per month to meet the project teams in person. The engineer will be dealing with enterprise-level clients and will be required to configure and customize enterprise solutions to meet the client’s complex needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a willingness to provide support, along with strong technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Able to work on-site in New Berlin, WI or Ft Smith, AR (meaning live in a commutable distance or able to frequently travel to on-site project meetings)
- Development on the Magento 2/Adobe Commerce platform
- Develop custom extensions to be released as third-party add-ons
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as improving our development processes
- Knowledgeable of best practices for development on Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform
- Assist in designing Adobe Commerce (Magento) solutions and integrations based on client requirements
- Ensure the solution that is delivered is consistent with company development policies and standards.
- Perform quality review of work products (post facto)
- Attend project discoveries to provide technical support and to ensure that we understand client requests from an engineering perspective
- Support the project team through key project events (e.g planning sessions, release demos, UAT sessions, site launch)
- Work with the Digital Solutions Consultant and Project Manager regarding development impacts to scope, budget, timeline, quality, and resource utilization.
- Provide expertise and recommendations on the impact of integrations and data on the frontend and backend of the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform
Qualifications
- Adobe Commerce Certified Professional or Expert certification
- Strong experience with Adobe Commerce and on-premise Magento2 environment.
- Knowledge of modern web development technologies and frameworks: React, Angular.js, Vue.js, HTML, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Prototype, JSON, layoutXML, Templates
- Passionate coder with 5-8 years of PHP programming language and MySQL/MariaDB
- Experience with integration technologies and frameworks: XML, RESTful APIs, SOAP APIs, GraphQL
- Working knowledge of development tools: Postman, Swagger, New Relic, Blackfire, APM tools, PHPStorm
- Experience with payment gateways like CyberSource, Autherize.net, PayPal, Braintree
- Experience with integrating 3rd party services (such as shipping, tax, payment, punchout, SAP, ERP, OMS) directly or through integration middleware (such as MuleSoft)
- Knowledge of version control systems (BitBucket, GitHub, GitLab, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in code quality control, cache implementation and overall performance optimization, as well as in security hardening
- Ability to provide high quality technical designs and estimations
