Key Responsibilities:
- Operate as the primary contact for any accounting matters related to our UK and Poland entities.
- Responsible for the preparation of the Financial Statements for the UK and Poland entities including support on Statutory Accounting and audits.
- Provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports.
- Manages end to end delivery of local reporting as required for each entity, ensuring complete understanding of US to Local differences.
- Play an integral role with monthly accounting duties assigned to the regional accounting group within a tight monthly closing timetable including journal preparation, reconciliation work and analysis.
- Reconcile all the balance sheet accounts for entities assigned on monthly basis in Blackline.
- Post payroll related journals such as vacation accruals for related entities where applicable.
- Prepare Balance sheet account schedules and supporting documentation as requested by internal auditors.
- Coordinate matters with other departments as needed.
- Assist with quarterly provisions, periodic returns and filings.
- Assist with preparation of the Financial Statements for entities in region including support on
Statutory Accounting and audits.
- Implement and enforce group policies and procedures as set by the parent company and/or local management.
- Evaluate internal controls (Sarbanes Oxley), recommend and implement departmental process improvement initiatives.
- Work with the rest of EMEA Accounting group in meeting departmental goals and objectives set by senior management.
- Liaise with local external accounting and payroll service providers, where applicable.
- Support accounting projects.
Essential
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in an Accounting department, ideally for an international company
- Existing recognized accounting qualification or qualified by Experience.
- Competent in balance sheet reconciliation / good problem solver.
- Must be fluent in English. Other European languages desirable.
- Competent in Excel.
- Sound working knowledge of accounting software (Workday desirable).
- Strong Knowledge/Experience of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
