What You Do

What You Do

Lead MTM to industry leadership in team member development by identifying and implementing best practices in training and development, while growing and steering a talent development strategy that aligns with MTM's mission and values.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

  • Establish relationships with all stakeholders, identify and foster development opportunities, and support people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion to sustain a world-class workforce
  • Evaluate employee performance and potential through various assessment tools and methodologies and develop and implement evaluation tools to measure training outcomes
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to meet the specific needs of various business units and the overall organizational objectives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and enhancing employee performance and productivity.
  • Through collaboration with all stakeholders, ensure a comprehensive approach to team members and talent development that provides unique and clear individual growth opportunities while maximizing organizational effectiveness.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of training programs to determine their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals
  • Conduct feedback sessions with participants to collect valuable insights and enhance future training programs and initiatives
  • Gather and analyze data on training programs and talent development initiatives to assess their effectiveness and impact
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports on the effectiveness of training programs and the progress of talent development initiatives to stakeholders, including senior management, and offer actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Assess the impact of training programs on employee performance and organizational productivity, identify skill gaps and training needs to prepare employees for higher roles, and continuously improve training initiatives
  • Collaborate with training coordinators, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and requirements
  • Craft curriculum and content that develops internal leadership across the organization and ensures a strong talent pipeline
  • Coordinate, as applicable, with internal leadership and external vendors to meet training and development objectives
  • Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
  • Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Proficiency in data analytics and gap analysis
  • Demonstrated ability in strategy development and execution
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle and maintain highly confidential information
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

What Sets You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Organizational Development, Training and Development, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent professional experience (2 years)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Experience in developing and facilitating Training and Development programs across a broad curriculum and broad employee base
  • Working knowledge of human capital management systems (i.e., Workday)
