The Specialist III will be the central contract support for their assigned business unit. The Specialist III must understand the products and services sold under the agreements they manage. The Specialist III's responsibilities will include managing the contract lifecycle end-to-end, including for some complex agreements, including licensing agreements and services agreements on a global scale. The Specialist III must be comfortable supporting a business unit in a high-volume, fast paced contract negotiation environment.

  • Proficiency in English
  • 4-5 years or relevant experience in business transactions and contract review/redlining/negotiation required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of contract management systems.
  • Management of legal queue to provide support to attorneys and to liaise with business partners.
  • Provides advanced legal assistance to in-house counsel and internal clients with primary responsibility for transactional legal matters.
  • Works on agreements, project management, internal legal process management, special assignments and general legal matters.
  • Have initial responsibility for review, redlining and negotiation of all sales contracts and certain license agreements for the assigned business unit.
  • Possesses the ability to make decisions independently, prioritize effectively within a fast-paced environment, and change priorities when sense of urgency is required.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (notably extensive experience working with negotiating and redlining documents in Microsoft Word), and other technical skills.
  • Technical Skills/Requirements: Extensive knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.

  • Review, summarize, and redline contracts with external customers for TransUnion and affiliated entities.
  • Handle primary support and negotiation for all sales contract negotiations for the business unit including but not limited to identifying the appropriate contract, drafting agreements, redlining agreements, negotiating agreements, guiding the contract through to full execution, and managing amendments and renewals.
  • Take the lead on customer calls to negotiate complex agreements.
  • Develop an understanding of the products and services sold under the agreements you negotiate and the legal, data protection, and regulatory requirements of these products or services.
  • Work closely with Managing Counsel to provide assistance on contractual and legal related matters in support of the business unit.
  • Function as a project management "liaison" between internal business teams (sales, operations, information security, privacy, product, finance, etc.) and the Legal Team.
  • Provide visibility for management and internal business teams into the status and progress of contract reviews and negotiations with new and existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain all legal project related materials (e.g. action plans, tracking tools, playbooks, process documents).
  • Review, update, create and maintain various contract forms and templates.
  • Propose solutions to problems identified for discussion with supervising attorneys.
  • Serve as a central point of contact regarding contracts for the internal business teams.
  • Perform special projects to support the Legal Team.
  • Manage internal contract approvals and assist with data entry of all customer contractual documentation.


This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
