We are looking for a Specialist to join the Environmental team of UPM’s largest Pulp Mill. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the environmental plan of the Paso de los Toros Mill, ensuring strict compliance with current regulations, the Mill´s Environmental Management System and UPM's corporate policies.

What you will do
-
Implement and monitor the execution of the Mill’s environmental management plans, incorporating your expertise in their design

Monitor external contractors, review technical reports, and ensure compliance with the Mill’s obligations

Participate in internal and external Environmental Management System (EMS) audits, as well as environmental audits of contractors and suppliers, including the follow-up on corrective and preventive actions

Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports associated to the Mill’s environmental performance

Maintain and develop an internal network of key stakeholders within the Mill and relevant forestry operations
Who you are
-
You have a university degree in scientific disciplines related to environmental management (Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, etc.) and relevant work experience

You communicate effectively on environmental issues with technical and non-technical audiences, including authorities and other key stakeholders

You are methodical, self-directed and able to perform well under pressure

You have a good level of English
