Specialist Development - Operations Cloud Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Cloud Engineer to join our Foundation Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS and Kubernetes environments. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-based services, including our customer portal.

What you will do: (Roles & Responsibilities)

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services

Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for running containerized applications

• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices and compliance standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications

• Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment and performance

• Automate operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions

• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to ensure optimal service delivery

• Participate in support for critical systems

• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends

What you need to succeed: (MUST Haves)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

5+ years of experience in cloud operations or DevOps roles

1-2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture

• Strong hands On of Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python & (Bash, or PowerShell or any scripting language)

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Ideal Candidate will also have: (More preferred)

• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for multi-cloud environments

Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)

• Experience with database management and optimization in cloud environments

• Understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools
