General Description:
The opportunity is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced individual to provide administrative and organizational support to a research and development team. The selected individual will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customers to ensure program success.
Essential Duties:
Provide administrative support for a department manager, program managers, group leads, technical leads, and technical staff members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Duties involve coordinating program activities, including:
Arrange appointments/meetings (e.g. with customers, interviews, administrative reviews)
Maintain shared schedules
Organize personnel information, create and track action items, follow up with internal staff and adjacent teams to ensure timely task completion
Organize and execute administrative onboarding of new staff
Make travel arrangements and generate expense reports
Generate purchase requests, order and track to delivery
Coordinate internal resources such as office space, supplies
Organize, coordinate and support program and department meetings, staff morale events, office communications, notices, memos and announcements
Required Skills:
3+ years administrative/secretarial experience.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple assignments, establish priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity or willingness to learn SharePoint and Microsoft Project (scheduling and organizational tools).
Demonstrated ability to learn internal processes, interface with internal and external customers, and work effectively with others.
Knowledge of office protocols including ability to interface with a wide variety of people and personalities
(co-workers, technical staff, customers, director) required.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work on multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills required.
Must have good telephone manners.
Basic financial knowledge desirable.
Required Education:
BA or relevant experience
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time and climb stairs to access different parts of the site.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with people; must have friendly, “can do” attitude.
US citizenship required.
Active TS/SCI clearance desired; must have ability to quickly obtain and maintain security clearances.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $39.62 - $49.54 per hour + bonus + benefits.
