Job Description Summary:
Provides Sterile Processing departments with educational support, including needs assessments. Provides standardized education in area of expertise, as well as, general education including but not limited to orientation, annual competency assessment, regulatory, accreditation and certification. Assess and develop system SPD policies. Maintains associate certification requirements.
Responsibilities And Duties:

Educator/Facilitator 1. Integrates principles from theories of adult learning, organizational development, system, change, and quality management. 2. Applies educational processes, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for program development and management. 3. Differentiates and prioritizes individual and group learning needs, in collaboration with directors, managers, staff, and other educators. 4. Directs the processes of needs assessment, educational planning and design, program implementation, and evaluation. 5. Plans, conducts, and evaluates programs designed to achieve desired level of competence and critical thinking. 6. Creates comprehensive educational activities/programs that encompasses age specific populations for various organizational needs. 7. Collaborates with managers, staff members, peers, other departments and community to plan and implement educational programs. Collaborates with Education Resource Managers, OD and other educators to create educational activities/programs that encompass age specific populations for various organizational needs. 8. Designs, implements, and analyzes teaching strategies and provides a climate that maximizes learning. 9. Organizes material resources and facilities for various educational program and evaluates program outcome.

Systematically develops methods to assess and evaluate competence of staff using a performance-based approach with focus on learner need identification, action planning and coaching to promote professional development e. g. PBDS assessment and reassessment, annual competency evaluation. 2. Serves as a resource for the professional growth and development of others. 3. Involves staff in defining problems and selecting solutions. 4. Collaborates with other departments regarding educational needs. 5. Maintains a positive image with selected units/departments for providing educational support.

Project Manager 1. Sets goals in accordance with departmental strategic plan, nursing organization goals, and overall organizational mission/goals. 2. Critically analyzes and proposes revisions to achieve project targets/outcomes. 3. Prepares and manages project budget s in collaboration with department director and other departments. 4. Manages multiple projects and priorities, works within timelines, and generates reports/communication on project status and outcome.
