Summary:
In this role you will work with these assigned categories (Data Transport, SD-WAN Architecture migration, Managed Network Services, and Telecom Enterprise Agreement). You will develop and implement a sourcing management strategy for these assigned categories..You will support the assessment and development of Network Services and Infrastructure spend management opportunities across client. This includes working with the Sourcing Team and individual IT areas to analyze spend, develop cost savings levers (supply, demand and TCO management), stand-up initiatives and support execution of the cost savings programs within IT.Develop cost saving opportunities across all major areas (Data Transport, SD-WAN Architecture migration, Managed Network Services, and Telecom Enterprise Agreement) and is expected to deliver an estimated $15-20M in annual savings.
This role will also support the IT Infrastructure team on an opportunity to move client to the Cloud with a strategic vendor (IBM). This includes working with client’s IBM team on negotiation and execution of a Cloud Agreement. This role will also drive the sourcing work, manage all the moving parts, work effectively with all stakeholders on overlapping requirements, and manage the agreements and subsequent orders.
Responsibilities:
• Perform all sourcing/procurement activities for the assigned categories.
• Develop and implement a sourcing management strategy for these
categories assigned.
• Identify, develop and manage supplier relationships.
• Effectively negotiates contracts and long-term procurement agreements.
• Develop and propose metrics to analyze supplier total cost.
• Participate in the change management programs to establish processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree desired.
• 7 or more year’s of relevant experience required.
• Experience in purchasing, materials management, warehouse operations, goods and services contracting, construction contracting, finance or other related areas.
• Experience in employing strategic souring methodology.
• Experience in large contract negotiations.
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
• Health care or Financial Services experience preferred.
• Experience working in a project-based and unionized environment is preferred.
• Professional certification such as C.P.M. or APICS preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
