The LTL Sourcing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting multiple business units by analyzing and executing pricing strategies for Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments. This position focuses on managing Request for Pricing (RFP) processes and Customer Specific Pricing (CSP) agreement adjustments. The Analyst will oversee LTL carrier sourcing, pricing optimization, service analysis, and the implementation of systemic rates and tariffs. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee internal tracking and organizational processes for RFP and CSP workflows.  

  • Analyze pricing programs, rate structures, and freight cost data to support decision-making.  

  • Prepare and implement carrier rates for seamless integration into company systems.  

  • Collaborate with LTL carriers to secure optimal cost, service levels, and performance.  

  • Support the Sourcing Manager in conducting RFP and CSP analyses.  

  • Partner with internal teams to facilitate effective collaboration with LTL carriers.  

  • Coordinate and assist in the management of the RFP process with LTL carriers.  

  • Administer the CSP adjustment process to ensure accurate and timely updates.  

  • Assist external Sales Agents in developing customer pricing solutions and proposals.  

  • Conduct freight cost analyses across various LTL business segments.  

  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance growth, sales, profitability, and long-term performance.  

  • Generate regular reports and metrics, providing concise summaries for senior management.  

  • Deliver cross-functional support to meet organizational goals and objectives 

  • Assess account-specific needs to align service and pricing with customer expectations. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 2-4 years of combined experience in LTL pricing, sales, or operations.  

  • Strong proficiency in managing and manipulating large datasets.  

  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret LTL carrier pricing agreements and tariffs.  

  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).  

  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools (preferred).  

  • Familiarity with SQL and SQL query development (preferred).  

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal teams, clients, and carriers at all levels.  

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.  

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapts to shifting priorities.  

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks.  

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BA) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) or LTL-specific software.  

  • Proven analytical skills with a track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities.  

  • Experience in carrier negotiations or vendor relationship management.  

  • Understanding of freight classification and LTL industry trends.

The LTL Sourcing Analyst role operates in a casual, team-oriented office environment with an open-seating floor plan. In the office, employees work with triple-monitor setups, computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment to perform daily tasks. The noise level is typical of a collaborative workspace, and frequent interruptions may occur throughout the day due to the dynamic, fast-paced nature of the role.  

This position is also offered as a hybrid role, with the option to work remotely part-time. Remote work requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup conducive to productivity and virtual collaboration. Whether in-office or remote, the role involves primarily sedentary work, with the employee regularly required to sit for extended periods, communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing), and listen attentively during meetings or calls. Prolonged use of computer screens and the ability to interpret detailed spreadsheets and reports are essential. Occasional standing, walking, or light lifting (e.g., files or office supplies up to 10-15 pounds) may be required in the office.

Compensation

$56,550.00-81,400.00 per year

This role is eligible for a bonus that is based on a combination of personal and business performance.
